Hi, I'm Esther Jun Kim. I build for a living—and for fun.

AI is at the center of my work these days. I'm currently co-founder and CTO of an AI startup, building products while AI reshapes how I create them.

I've spent most of my career building at the intersection of people and technology. I studied Electrical & Computer Engineering at Cornell and received a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Purdue. Since then, I've worked on UX innovation at Samsung, Intel, and Volkswagen, and led engineering and product development at Riiid.

For me, understanding comes from building. Even in the age of AI, there's no substitute for wrestling with a problem yourself. This site is where I document the journey—the projects, the experiments, and what I'm learning along the way.

When I'm not coding, you'll find me reading a good book or enjoying an even better cup of coffee.
